Description
Photo taken in late July 2012.
This will be an ongoing series of photos taken of a little old farmstead in West Central Minnesota. It is currently owned by a rural neighbor, and his dad grew up here. I don't know if Ed was actually a Captain of anything, other than his farm, but he was affectionately known as "Captain Ed." I am attempting to capture it in different seasons and different situations over time.

Hi Penny, I'm back for another to visit Captain Ed's Farmstead (already a fan of this nostalgic series). Nice composition, I like how this hay bale balances with the house, and how its subtle golden path leads your eyes from the bale to the house in a soft sweeping arc. Well done! L/V&F

Hi Doug! Thank you so much for stopping back. I really need to get over to Captain Ed's, haven't made it yet this winter. I also do have some shots from over this past summer and fall I need to sort through and post something new. I just love to visit the old place and see it change with the seasons and am so happy to have you join in... thanks again!!

Thanks so much, Deb!! I seem to keep finding more shots of it that I forgot I had taken, so it's actually nice to get them organized here. I'm glad you're enjoying the series! I appreciate your support and encouragement!
