Description
A tattered curtain remains hanging from corner of a glassless upstairs window at Captain Ed's Homestead.
This will be an ongoing series of photos taken of a little old farmstead in West Central Minnesota. It is owned by a rural neighbor, and his dad grew up here. I don't know if Ed was actually a Captain of anything, other than his farm, but he was affectionately known as "Captain Ed." I am attempting to capture it in different seasons and different situations over time.

Sorry my finger accidentally hit the comment button before I was finished collecting my thoughts. As I was saying, this photograph really drew me in with the old rustic building and the open window. I love the variety of textures and the torn old tattered curtain puts a real artistic flair. Nice job! v/f

Deb, thank you so much for your kind words and promotion!! I'm glad you can appreciate what I'm after here. This one really does make me think too. Seeing the curtain hanging there, I wonder if when people move out of these old houses and leave for the last time, do they know that no one will ever live there again?
