As the sun was beginning to get low in the sky but still a couple of hours from setting, the sunlight was dancing on the water beyond the reeds along the shoreline on South Lake Lida at Minnesota's Maplewood State Park. When looking very closely, I have found a fly and 3 damselflies resting in the reeds.
I love to spend time outdoors, and going out with a camera in my hand makes me so much more aware of everything around me. It's amazing the things I notice that I would otherwise walk by without a glance. I am inspired by the beauty of the different seasons in the Lakes Country of Minnesota, where I live. I hope through my photography to share a little bit of the world as I have come to see it through my lens. I was honored to have my image "Another Day at the Lodge" published in the December 2019 issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine.
